Brief Description of Services Provided:

The goals and objectives of the agency are simple to define yet challenging to achieve.  The primary goal is to arrest the disease of alcoholism and addiction.  Our core values of loving kindness, compassion, empathy, patience, tolerance, equanimity and understanding have enabled our organization to provide a successful program of recovery.  Although based on these principles, there is no “coddling” of our residents.  We are a bottom line, results oriented organization, which sets a high performance benchmark.  Success means clean and sober for one year, nothing less.   Our agency determines success by the number of men who complete our group program and continue to remain clean and sober for a period of 1 year or more – much longer than any other program counts.  With our mix of tough love and solid cost control, we are able to realize a four year average success rate of 50 percent.  When a man enters and completes our program, working towards becoming a productive member of society, we all benefit.  The burden to our welfare, penal, health and taxation system decreases, family violence decreases, crime is reduced and the chain of dysfunction passed down through generations can be halted.  The range of positive monetary results to the community are great, but we cannot neglect to mention the absolutely priceless treasure of seeing a fellow human being gain back or find for the first time in his life, self worth, dignity and freedom.
