| Brief Description of Services Provided: | P.A.R.T.Y. Calgary (Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth) is a dynamic injury prevention program at the Foothills Medical Centre dedicated to the youth of Calgary and surrounding communities. Students hear from a number of speakers including rehabilitation staff, police, paramedics, physicians, and injury survivors. Together we bring the students face to face with the reality of poor choices and provide a context for them to learn about choices and consequences. The success of our program depends entirely on our ability to connect successfully with often highly resistant 14 and 15 year olds in their own vernacular. |
