| Brief Description of Services Provided: |
Distress Centre offers crisis intervention, support, information, and referral services to anyone in crisis through the following programs:
- No charge, professional, outpatient counselling for addictions or any crisis delivered by registered social workers onsite
- 24 Hour crisis line: answered by highly trained volunteers with professional staff back up
- Public education sessions: Preventative presentation focused on drugs/alcohol and problem gambling. Other sessions available upon request.
- 211 Information and Referral Line: Connection to community, health, government, and social service information.
All services are free of charge to the public.
