Brief Description of Services Provided:

Since 1970, Distress Centre Calgary has offered crisis support, counselling, information, and referral services to people in distress. All services are free of charge.

Information and referral to community, government, social and health services.

Crisis Counselling
Short term crisis counselling delivered by registered social workers.

Smoking Cessation Groups
Psycho-educational, adult co-ed, six week evening group consisting of education, discussion, handouts and homework.

Crisis Line
24 hour crisis line answered by trained volunteers
