| Brief Description of Services Provided: | Al-Anon Family Groups is a community resource providing support to anyone affected by a relative or friend’s drinking. There are over 24,000 Al-Anon and 2,300 Alateen groups, meeting in 115 countries. If you are wondering if Al-Anon or Alateen is for you, the most effective method of contacting us is to go to an Al-Anon or Alateen meeting. You can check out the meeting section of this website for locations and times that are convenient for you. You are welcome to show up without notice; in fact, that is how it works. There is no registration, time restrictions, or other obligations. New people attend Al-Anon and Alateen meetings on a regular basis. If the chairperson does not ask if there are any newcomers, please let them know so the group will have an opportunity to welcome you to your first meeting. |
